for months now i kept hearing that this person or that person had bought yarn to knit Edie, had Edie on needles, was almost finished Edie, yet there was not a single photograph to be found. finally, i received this lovely photo of Claire sporting her new Edie. i love it!!! doesn't she (Claire, i mean) look fantastic?
to receive the numbers for the larger Edie sizes please send an email with the subject header edie extra sizes. the replies will be sent out automatically, so in order for this to work the subject must say edie extra sizes, no more, no less. i will not be reading nor responding to these emails. this request will only be replied to through the address in this post. please do not use the mylifeinstitches addy.

here's Edie on the set of Knitty Gritty!
i am happy to announce that the Edie pattern will soon be available in sizes 42", 44", and 46". you will still need to purchase the book in order to have the full pattern and knitting instructions. i will only be providing the additional numbers for the larger sizes.

on page 93, there are a couple of numbers missing. the first paragraph should read as follows;
NECKBAND
With size US 6 (4mm) needles and CC, with RS facing, pick up and knit 5 sts across top of right front button band, 15 across right front, 15 up right front neck, 30(32, 34, 34, 36) across back neck, 15 down left front neck, 3 across left front, and 5 across top of left front buttonhole band (88[90, 92, 92, 94]sts).
the finishing instructions for the button band and buttonhole band should read as follows;
Button Band:
With size 6 needle and contrast color, with right side facing pick up and knit 96 (98, 102, 104, 108) sts along edge of left front. work 7 rows of k1, p1 rib and then bind off.
Buttonhole Band:
With size 6 needle and contrast color, with right side facing pick up and knit 96 (98, 102, 104, 108) sts along edge of right front. Work 3 rows of k1, p1 rib.
(row 4) Buttonhole row: Buttonhole row: rib 4 (5, 4, 5,4), yo, work 2 tog, *rib 14 (14, 15, 15, 16) yo, work 2tog, rep from * 5x, rib to end
Continue in k1, p1, rib for 3 rows, then bind off.
